About Me
Hello! My name is Olivia Esparza. I'm a recent Wayne State University Broadcast Journalism and New Media graduate. My passion for journalism stems back to high school when I was the Editor-in-Chief for our school's online news publication, The Husky. Being apart of this publication is what made me want to study journalism in college. My life-long goal is to become an entertainment reporter and producer for E! News in Los Angeles, California, but until then, I plan to build an impressive resume that provides me exposure to the entertainment industry.

My online portfolio showcases my journalism and multimedia work. As a broadcast journalism student, I've written multiple news and feature stories, constructed news packages and developed a reporter demo reel, and was an Associate Producer for Detroit Public Television's MetroArts Detroit Season 8. Over the summer, I interned for Greg Russell at DTM Filmworks, LLC. For this internship, I conceptualized, produced, edited, and hosted a podcast called, Industry Unpacked: Detroit. In April, I completed a publicity and promotions internship with Allied Global Marketing. Currently, I am an Associate Producer at Local 4/WDIV.
