Theatre and Dance at Wayne welcomes audiences to its 2017-2018 season. The season kicked off last night with Steve Martin’s comedy, The Underpants, directed by Scotty Arnold. Olivia Esparza reports:

The audience gathered around the stage and laughed on multiple occasions as they watched the play. In the play, Antonia (An-TOH-nee-ah) LaChe (La-SHAY) plays Louise Maske. Louise suffers a wardrobe malfunction at a parade and the character’s life suddenly takes an exciting turn as her public mishap has multiple suitors fighting for her attention right under her oblivious husband's nose.

Arnold says he is excited to be working on this fun and unique piece and encourages the community to support the Performing Arts Department.

Tickets are available for purchase at theatre and dance at wayne-dot-E-D-U. You can check out the event now through October 15th at the Hilberry Theatre in Midtown Detroit.
